Walnut Pie (with cake pan)

I baked walnut pie this time and it was delicious! I forgot to put in honey so it didn't really taste that sweet, but it was fine. Don't forget to put honey!!! You don't have to make it with pie pan. I made it with 23cm cake pan and it was fine. You can make cupcake size walnut pies with the left over dough I did like that, but in order to do that you need to half the recipe from the filling and + the half to the original amount. It will be helpful to chack out the video.





Ingredients

180g purpose flour 100g

cold cubed butter

2 tablespoon water

1 egg yolk


2 eggs

1 teaspoon cinnamon

30g brown sugar

150ml honey

30g butter

120g walnuts


directions

1. In a bowl put flour, cold butter and mix until the butter and the flour is completely mixed together and the butter becomes crumbly.

2. and in the water mix until you can't see the water and then add the egg yolk.

3. when the dough becomes thick, put it in a plastic bag and let it chill for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

4. While the dough is chilling, prepare different bowl. whisk together all the ingredients except walnut.

5. When the dough is out cut it circle and thin. Put it on the 23cm cake pan. Cut the dough to 2~3cm wide and around it inside of the cake pan wall.

6. put in the walnut, and the mixture from '4' bake it for 35 minutes in 170*C.
