Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar

This is a perfect snack when you want to eat something! You don't have to use mixer, or chill the dough. you can make it really fast with ingredients that are mostly at home. It;s really crispy out side and chewy inside. You can always half the recipe and put more or less sugar. I think it's better if you follow the recipe if you are beginner. We get many ideas from Sallys baking addiction check out her website^^ Enjoy!

(if you are going to use salted butter, don't put 1/2 salt from the ingredients)

Ingredients:

2 and 1/4 cups(280g) all purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 and 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup(170g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled

1 cup(185g) packed light brown sugar

1/4 cup(45g) granulated sugar

1 large egg and 1 egg yolk at room temperature

1/2 cup(90g) semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Whisk the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt together in a large bowl. set aside

2. In a medium bowl, whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until it;s completely mixed together. Whisk in the egg, then egg yolk. It would look like a caramel.

3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix it with a spatula. The dough will be thick. Fold in the chocolate chips. It won't stick so well because of the butter, but keep trying and it will work.

4. Put the dough in the 9 inch square pan and bake it for 32-35 minutes in 180*c(350*c)

5. When it's done, cool it for at least 20 minutes on a wire rack.
