Giant Macarons

This is the same way how you make the regular ones, but just pipe it bigger!!! We made this video and the macarons together. One is just cream cheese frosting and the other is cream cheese chocolate frosting and we posted both how to make it so you can choose what you want. It's the same level not harder or easier. As we tell you always do not over mix! mix until you get a perfect 8 with your batter. We really hope you get the right macaron at your first try! You can leave the food coloring out, but food coloring makes you macaron loom pretty. But I don't really use food colorings too. We even always keep the vanila extracts out because that only for good smell. You don't really need them.





Ingredients

70g egg whites(2 eggs)

70g sugar

Food coloring

84g sugar powder

92g almond powder


Cream cheese frosting:

150g cream cheese

1/4 cup sugar


Chocolate cream cheese frosting:

150g cream cheese

16g natural cocoa powder

1/4 cup sugar

Directions:

1. Whisk the egg whites and add in the sugar. when it's almost stiff, put in a bit of food coloring. and finish your meringue. Sift in sugar powder and almond powder together.

2. Mix it with a spatula. Mix until you get a perfect 8 with you batter. Stop there and do not over mix.

3. pipe 4 macaron shells on a parchment paper. tap the pan about 4 times and let it rest for an hour. Bake it at 150*C for 16-20 minutes.

cream cheese frosting:

in a bowl whisk the cream cheese add in the sugar.

cream cheese chocolate:

in a bowl whisk the cream cheese and the sugar. lastly add in the cocoa powder.
