Have you ever tried to make a recipe but realized that you were out of condensed milk? No worries! We've got you covered. With a homemade condensed milk recipe. You can make our chocolate ice cream with this and you would get perfect results! This tastesjust like the store bought condensed milk and the same consistency. This make 1/2 cup of condensed milk and you can easily double this recipe. Only 2 ingredients required!
Ingredients:
1 cup of milk
1/3 cup of sugar
Directions:
1. Add the milk and sugar on a pot over medium low heat and stir until all the sugar is melted.
2. Once all the sugar is melted, let it come to a simmer.
3. Once simmering, lower to low heat and and do not stir from this point.
4. Let this simmer for 30 minutes until the color is more peachy and the consistency is slightly thicker. there should be little thick places.
5. Transfer to a bowl and refridegerate until fully cooled. Don't worry if your condensed milk look a little thin, it will thicken as it cools.
Recipe Notes:
If your condensed milk is too thin, heat it over medium low heat until it starts bubbling and looks more thickened.
If your condensed milk is too thick, add a little bit more milk until desired consistency.
