Easy 10 Minutes Tiramisu

Updated: Mar 24, 2019

Did you know that Tiramisu means "pick me up" or "cheer me"? And we obviously know why the classic Italian dessert is called that. It's so, so good! Me and Eun love, love baking together and today was one of the days we did so. We planned to make a Tiramisu. I came over to Eun's house and we made a tiramisu.

We had so much fun making one and the taste was incredible. The ladyfingers, mousse, and the coffee turned into a really decadent dessert! It was creamy, luscious and you get that hint of coffee and the flavors work so, so , great together. A bonus point is that the mousse doesn't contain any eggs so it's perfect for vegans and you don't have to worry about eating raw eggs. And because it doesn't have any eggs, it's much easier to make! Also this only takes 10 minutes to make! This recipe is certainly a crowd pleaser so go ahead and start making this recipe! This recipe is adopted by BiggerBolder Baking. Thanks Gemma!

Ingredients:

1 cup (225ml) heavy whipping cream

1 cup (230g) mascapone cheese*

1/3 cup (70g) granulated sugar

2 cups (450ml) strong coffee

1 pack (200g) of ladyfingers

Cocoa powder for dusting on top (optional)

Directions:

1. Whip up the heavy cream and the sugar together until soft peaks.

2. Add in the mascapone cheese and whip them together until stiff peaks.

3. Dip the ladyfingers in the coffee (don't leave it ther for too long because it can get soggy) the place it on the dish. (Use a 8x8 inch dish)

4. Add in the mousse.

5. Repeat this process until all the ladyfingers and mousse is used.

6. (This is an optional step but makes your tiramisu look fabulous) For the last layer, fill a piping bag with the mousse and pipe little dollops.

7. Sprinkle it with cocoa powder. ( Make sure you gently sift the cocoa powder over the tiramisu, not dumping big lumps. It makes more of an even finish with the cocoa powder)

8. Chill it in the refridgerator for 2-4 hours

Recipe notes: For the mascapone, you can substitute cream cheese for the same amount, but we don't recommand it becaause the flavor mousse might be a little different.
